MetaX Joins the MindSpore Open Source Community

MetaX Integrated Circuits (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (referred to as MetaX) signed the Corporate Contributor License Agreement (CCLA) with MindSpore to officially join the MindSpore open source community.

MetaX Integrated Circuits (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is committed to providing high-performance GPU chips and solutions for heterogeneous computing. The company was founded in Shanghai in September 2020 and has established wholly-owned subsidiaries and R&D centers in top university gathering cities, including Beijing, Nanjing, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and Wuhan.

MetaX core team members have an average of nearly 20 years of end-to-end R&D experience in high-performance GPU products, and have led the R&D of more than ten mainstream high-performance GPU products, including GPU architecture definition, GPU IP design, GPU SoC design and GPU system solutions. It is a team with extensive experience in technology, design and industrialization in the whole process of mass production and delivery.

With a completely self-developed new patented architecture and a complete software stack compatible with the mainstream ecosystem, MetaX high-performance GPU chips and solutions have a wide range of application prospects in many frontier areas such as AI inference, AI training, high performance data analytics, scientific computing, data center, cloud gaming and metaverse, providing powerful computing capabilities for the development of digital economy.
