MindSpore Lite 2.11.0 Release Notes

Key Features and Enhancements

Cloud-side inference

  • Added the Ascend custom operator packaging capability under mindspore-lite/tools/custom_kernels/ascend_ops. Self-developed Ascend C custom operators are packaged into the mslite_custom_ops vendor package and delivered with the MindSpore Lite release package. The package can be built independently with build_all_ops.sh and installed with install.sh, and custom operators are automatically enabled during model conversion and inference.

  • Added support for open-source models: the PI0.5 Base vision-language-action (VLA) model, the Qwen3-0.6B dialogue model, and the Jina Reranker V3.5 model. ONNX export and end-to-end MindSpore Lite Ascend inference deployment examples are provided for all of them.

  • Added LiteBoost support for the open-source models Wan2.2-TI2V-5B (DiffSynth-Studio format) and Qwen-Image-Edit.

  • Added LiteBoost layers-level interface support: FlashAttention, RoPE, RMSNorm, and NearestExactUpsample.

  • Added LiteBoost ops-level interface support: CGDR (A2).

Device-side inference

  • MindSpore Lite Micro added 9 categories of operators, all covering FP32 and INT8 full-quantization inference:

    • Math and reduction: Sum (ONNX ReduceSum), ReduceProd, Max / Min (ONNX / TFLite);

    • Activation: Celu, HardSigmoid, Gelu (ONNX / TFLite);

    • Tensor manipulation: Trilu, Pack / Unpack (TFLite), Constant / ConstantOfShape.

  • Optimized INT8 operator performance on the device side (both CPU inference and Micro-generated code benefit):

    • MatMul INT8 added a low-memory online requantization kernel and a weight reordering interface, reducing the memory footprint during inference;

    • Rewrote and optimized the INT8 Pooling and SoftMax kernels to improve performance.

  • Fixed accuracy issues and buffer overflow security vulnerabilities in Micro INT8 quantized inference on operators such as SoftMax and ReduceMean.

API Changes

  • Removed the control-flow related parsers. MindSpore Lite no longer supports converting control-flow operators such as if and loop in ONNX, TensorFlow, and TFLite models.

  • The LiteBoost ParallelManager interface has been renamed to BoostManager to support more model optimization methods in the future.
